Capital All Ford Day on again this weekend, showing off shiny cars to raise money for charity

From Thunderbirds to Mustangs, Falcons to Rangers – one of Canberra’s most loved car events, the annual Capital All Ford Day, is on again this weekend at the Queanbeyan Showgrounds from 8:30 am to 3 pm.
Whether you’re a fan of seeing all kinds of vehicles in mint condition, or you have a special soft spot for the blue oval brand, it’s an opportunity to check out a proper old-fashioned Show ‘n’ Shine as well as to enjoy kids entertainment, trade stalls, competitions with cool prizes, and refreshments.

It might be time to seriously check out a Peugeot 3008

Ask the average Australian to reel off their favourite brands of SUV, and the name Peugeot isn’t likely to pop up too often. But take a closer look at 2017’s European Car of the Year, and you’ll find a few good reasons why you should dare to be different.
The third car I ever owned was a bright red little Peugeot 306XR. I’d never owned a French car, let alone a Peugeot, but I felt I wanted something a little different to the never-ending stream of Hyundai Excels and Toyota Corollas on the road at the time.

Are two wheels better than four? Here’s your chance to find out…

What if I told you that you could zip past peak hour traffic in the transit lanes, never again pay for parking, and own a brand new vehicle for less than you’re currently paying for petrol each week?
And what if the same activity could improve your mental health and physical fitness as well?
How is this possible? The answer, of course, is to ride a motorcycle or scooter.

Living the high life at Highgate Kitchen and Bar

Highgate Kitchen and Bar definitely wins the award for poshest restaurant name in Canberra, but the ‘upmarket pub style’ food is pretty swish too.
With all the buzz around the Kingston Foreshore precinct, it’s easy to forget just how much ‘old Kingston’ has to offer. But there’s a real buzz when I pull up on – what I expected to be – a quiet Tuesday evening.

Get your greyhound fix with global dog walk taking place this weekend

With all the recent focus on greyhound racing, the groups that probably haven’t featured enough in this debate are the hardworking adoptions groups and volunteers.
Whether or not you agree with the ban on racing in the Territory, there are many organisations in and around Canberra that work around the clock to help find good homes for healthy and behaviourally-sound greyhounds from all walks of life.

What to expect from a defensive driving course

Do you ever worry you might not be a very good driver?

My most popular article of all time is this one – about our most dangerous and annoying driver behaviours on the road.

It’s pretty hard to believe that everyone guilty of the behaviours mentioned here is well-aware of it.

Chances are, the people committing these road crimes every day think they’re great drivers.

Maybe one of them is … you?
